As women, our appearance and how we present ourselves, is very important. We want to always look and smell our best. There are times though when vaginal odor causes us to be self conscious around others. If you find that you are experiencing a fishy or unpleasant smell it can make you uncomfortable in almost every situation. Most people will tell you that if you can detect the odor, anyone near you can as well. If you want to get rid of feminine odor, there are a few easy things you can try at home.
One method to get rid of feminine odor seems very obvious, but isn't always adopted. When you are showering it's really important that you clean every inch of your body thoroughly. This means taking the time to cleanse your feminine area well. You should also opt for a gentle, fragrance free soap. Sometimes a woman can have a strong reaction to a perfumed cleanser and it can cause an irritation which results in an unpleasant odor. Simple cleansers are the best choice.
Using panty liners on a daily basis is another way to get rid of feminine odor. Some of the odor may be caused by excess perspiration. If you wear a panty liner that is unscented it can actually completely absorb the odor. Choosing the scented variety may seem like the obvious choice, but in actuality when the fragrance from the liner mingles with your personal odor it may create an even more pungent smell that is harder to conceal. Be certain to change unscented liners several times during the day.
Wearing cotton panties can help to get rid of feminine odor. If you prefer silk or satin underwear, you may not be allowing your skin to breathe. This can result in sweating which just adds to the problem. There are many pretty and sexy styles of cotton panties so don't think you have to forgo looking and feeling pretty for being practical.
Although douching can seem like a fantastic way to minimize feminine odor, it's really not very effective. If your odor is actually a symptom of another problem, such as an infection, douching is only going to make matters worse. If you choose a flowery smelling douche you may actually find the odor just becomes more magnified and even more unpleasant.
Vaginal odor is a problem that plagues countless women and can reoccur every few months. Unfortunately it can have a negative impact on many areas of a woman's life. There are effective treatments for the condition that don't just mask the odor, they actually treat the problem and eliminate it. If you are tired of feeling self conscious and if you shy away from intimacy because of your bad vaginal odor learn more about what you can do to fix the problem, from this Informative Site

Foods That Should Be Eaten Regularly During Menopause
By Darlyn Burkle
When a woman reaches a certain age, some changes occur in the body. These changes are called the menopause, and indicate that the woman is no longer of child bearing age. As a part of these changes, her libido decreases, and she no longer goes through menstruation, because she is no longer ovulating. The changes can also cause hot flushes, mood swings, and other symptoms that indicate the changes in hormone production.
The foods that we eat can affect the chemicals in our bodies, so it is possible to reduce the symptoms of the menopause through changing the way we eat. One important thing about eating during the menopause is that you should try to eat natural, wholesome foods where possible, and avoid processed foods with lots of unnatural chemicals.
Eat Natural Foods
When we speak of all natural foods, we man foods that are not processed. Foods to be taken during menopause should be the type that are grown naturally. And there are many, such as lots of fruits and vegetables. Avoid foods that are overly processed, such as crackers and, basically, anything that comes in a box or package. During those golden years, the foods to be taken during menopause essentially be purchased on the extremities of the supermarket, that's where the fruits and veggies usually are. Steer clear from the inside aisles as possible, which is where you find the junk and overly processed foods that can wreak havoc on your hormones. Consuming too much junk food will send a menopausal woman on a roller coaster ride of emotions and symptoms. This is a surefire way to make your menopause experience a very long and hard one.
Another thing to remember is to drink lots of water. This is important for all people, not just women going through the menopause. It is actually possible to drink too much water, so don't just guzzle as much as you can - but try to aim for about six glasses of water a day - a glass with each meal, and a glass when you are feeling thirsty, is a good start.
The menopause is a natural part of life for every woman, and it does not have to be an unpleasant one. You will probably experience some of the symptoms described above while you are going through the menopause, but if you try to stay active and eat healthily then you should be able to minimize the symptoms. If you need some advice about what foods to avoid, or foods that are believed to help with the menopause, consult your doctor.

Stress and Women's Health
By Matthew Romberg
Because stress affects a woman's health, mental state and quality of life, it is important that women be in tune with their bodies in order to recognize the signs of stress. Stress affects different women in different ways. Some symptoms of stress are difficulty sleeping or concentrating, headache, stomach pain, depression and anxiety. Stress can stem from a range of circumstances, some of the major ones being death of a loved one, illness or injury, divorce, an accident or other emergency situation. Though these are some of the major stressors, stress can arise from any change in a person's routine. Happy occasions such as marriage or beginning a new job can also prompt stress. Other sources of stress are the everyday pressures of work and family responsibilities.
Stress can be short or long term, and it is not just your imagination. Stress causes chemical changes in the body, and the physical symptoms you experience are the result of your body's reaction to it. Under chronic stress, the body releases cortisol, a hormone that gives the body survival responses such as a temporary burst of energy and a heightened immunity and threshold for pain. This state of physiological arousal, which includes a heightened heart rate and blood pressure, is intended to subside once the threat of danger passes and the body's relaxation response kicks in. Under conditions of chronic stress, cortisol levels are heightened over prolonged periods of time, the relaxation response is hindered, and health issues can result. Chronic stress has been linked to conditions such as depression, heart disease and other heart problems, insomnia, high blood pressure, and difficulty conceiving.
Establishing a life balance that minimizes stress is important to a woman's health and well-being. The demands of juggling a family and a career often lead women to neglect their own needs. Relaxing, even briefly, is important to sustaining a healthy balance. Numerous techniques can be employed to help a woman effectively reduce the level of stress she is experiencing, some of which include:
-Getting aerobic exercise. Exercise releases natural pain and stress relievers called endorphins, and also serves as release for tension. Jogging, doing Yoga, swimming, or other activities that get your body moving are healthy ways to control stress.
-Sharing feelings. Even when there is nothing you can do to control a stressor, sharing your feelings with a friend, loved one or therapist can be a great outlet for reducing stress. Another option is writing about your situation and feelings in a journal. Putting into words the way you feel and why can help you gain a new perspective on a situation. Try to focus on the positive side of a situation and what you will learn from it.
-Saying no. Sometimes stress is the result of too many commitments. Women should take into account the level of stress they feel with their current level of obligations before taking on any new ones. A balanced lifestyle in which a woman can fulfill all of her responsibilities with some time left for relaxation is ideal.
Just as the symptoms of stress can take many forms, the methods that work best for relieving stress vary among women. Some control stress through means such as exercise, while others seek medical help to deal with high levels of stress. Finding the right treatment for your personal needs involves paying attention to your body's needs and recognizing the symptoms of stress.
